Sequins and Silk In Markree Castle

Dress – Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Shoes – LK Bennett, Clutch Bag – Accessorise, Coat – Zara

We stayed in a broody dark old Irish castle deep in the countryside in Co. Sligo this weekend.
Markree Castle, with all its original features is an atmospheric and stylish venue for a wedding and because Ailbhe and Bertie and their guests had it all to themselves for the night, it felt like a very personal and intimate occasion.
I chose to wear a bead silk dress for some extra glamour, nude heels and accessories and a summer white coat to keep warm.
It was a lovely and really enjoyable day and all the lovely bride and groom’s guests went to bed exhausted and with sore feet from spending too much time on the dance floor.
