There are only a certain type of shorts I like to wear around the city and these are it.
I’m sure they seem rather boring to some women in London who can ease along in those mini ones cut right up to their bum cheeks but these are firmly my type and I cannot be moved.
*City Shorts – River Island, Top – LK. Bennett, Bag – Cos, Jacket – Zara, Espadrilles – Kurt Geiger
These appropriately named city shorts could easily be worn to the office, in fact I think I have worn them there a few times in the past or they can be dressed down for shopping with a simple t-shirt and flats.
What type do you like to wear ?
I wear shorter ones on holidays or on the beach but I completely lose my nerve when home and back on concrete.
There are some great sales on at the moment and one of the best for quality neutrals like creams and whites is the The White Company.

This is a really smart outfit. I love it- especially the blazer!

Once I’m out of my workout wear, I rarely wear shorts “around town”. I am tall so those tiny shorts look even tinier on me. I can’t find a nice pair like you have that are both modest and work appropriate! Yours are perfect and I love how you styled them!
You look amazing in these shorts. I’m not sure I would look that great in shorts that length, but you definitely pull them off so well!

I envy the bare legs! Here it is just cold and rainy.
Great length shorts, and I love your shoes! I rarely wear short shorts…they just don’t flatter the top of my legs at all. I prefer to keep them hidden
These look amazing on you Joanne! So chic. I just can’t seem to get away with shorts that successfully but you’ve inspired me to try some on next time I’m shopping! Avril x
